So, I've decided to finally take the leap into the professional horse world. Well, sort of anyway. Thus far I've worked off my lessons at local lesson barns, none of which really showed. I did show quite a lot when I was younger, but only on the local schooling circuit. I want to find a position as a working student at a bigger show barn. Reading about Jacob Pope on Chronicle of the Horse, and watching him ride in the George Morris Horsemastership training program, has been really inspiring. I know two people who have big name connections, and my current instructor might still have some of her old connections, I just need to talk to them about it. I also have to find a good way to tell my instructor that I'm leaving.... Anyway, I'm just so excited! I had to share
