He saw the ponies at the pony rides and begged to be able to ride. His father agreed and he instantly fell in love. By age ten, he was taking lessons at a stable near by and was learning everything he possible could about horses and the horse industry. When he wasn't at the stables or at school, he was working hard to save up money to buy a horse. He recently came up with the money and decided to apply to Hollow Aspen.

Example Post: minimum 200 words! The grey clouds concealed the skies, making the world seem dreary to most that would look upon it. Not to Aaron. He sat in the passenger seat of the car in silence, watching the world roll by. It was very beautiful here, with the leaves changing colors and the open space. Not like his home in Winnipeg. He and his father had been driving for the past two days to get here. He could barely contain his excitement, but his father seemed to be in a very different mood.
His father didn’t approve of his sons obsession with horses. He thought that his son’s interests and career goals weren’t solid and that he didn’t have direction in his life. Being a doctor and a military man, he couldn’t understand why his son wouldn’t want a more solid career. Being an equestrian was like acting or music in his mind. A “profession” that too many people wanted to do leaving hundreds with broken dreams and empty bank accounts. Aaron’s mother on the other hand was overjoyed, but she wasn’t here was she. The past two days had been very quiet and stiff between the two men, and as they drove the last few miles, tension filled the musky air of the car. Aaron just wanted to get there already, especially since the next day he was going to get his horse.
The young man had spent hours, days even, picking out a horse. Not to mention he had done everything in his power to pick one the school would accept. He was thankful that they had, and he couldn’t wait to meet his new mare. She was perfect; a great jumper, beautiful movement, a gentle personality. He had only ridden her once, but when you know, you know.
When the silver BMW turned down the drive to Hollow Aspen, Aaron sat up. His eyes took in the area, looking toward the large building they were driving toward. They passed a large pasture with numerous horses. They were all healthy and fit. They whinnied and raced after the car, making Aaron smile. This was it. They were here! His father parked in the visitor’s parking lot and huffed as he pushed himself out of the car. Aaron couldn’t get out quick enough. He was here, and he had never felt more at home.
