[/style] [atrb=border,0,true] Kimberly had taken her black chevy truck down to the beach that day. It was fall and a bit cold for swimsuits so, she figured she'd be the only one there and she could get some reading in. The girls in her dorm were loud and stayed up late and partied and did other things that prevented her from reading and doing homework. Kimberly may have seemed boring or a stick in the mud but, she would be the one with the grades and future and they would be the ones that got pregnant and dropped out of school and have no life.
She got out of her truck and locked the doors with a book in hand. She was wearing a grey sweatshirt and yoga pants along with her tennis shoes. Not really beachwear but, it was pretty cold out that afternoon. It had been after her classes and she needed to be away from her roommates.
She walked over the sand that had hardened to a state that one could actually walk on. She can't say that she loved walking on the sand when it was all fluffy and dusty and soft and it twisted ankles.
Her gaze fell upon the dark water as it kissed the shore over and over again. She smiled as she found a place near the water. Not so close that her shoes were in the icy liquid but, she was close enough to touch it if she reached out. She took one last look at the water and the sea-gulls that squawked about before opening her book and picking it up right where she left off.

[/s] .A horse is only as strong as its Rider. I could live without money I could live without the vain. A 1981 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pickup Truck was roaring down the winding road toward the beach. Some people would call him a complete fool, however that didn't phase James at all really, he enjoyed being "different". Rumbling up in his pickup he noticed another vehicle and all he could do was nod. A black dress shirt with light worn jeans, black cowboy hat and matching black cowboy boots was James' attire for the day, his dress shirt slightly unbuttoned at the top, exposing a small portion of his bronze skinned chest. Exiting the truck and locking it behind him he gazed out to the beach and noticed a single girl out there, either looking out at the water or playing on a cell phone or something.
Making his way out into the sand he put both hands in his pockets and kicked the sand with his heel as he walked. An innocent walk on the beach never hurt anyone and it allowed James to think in peace. Letting his gaze fall to the girl, frowning slightly as he examined her more. Was that KimSTAFF POSITIONS Walking over toward the girl with curiosity, kneeling down next to her he put a hand on her shoulder "KimSTAFF POSITIONS Is that youSTAFF POSITIONS " Letting his deep, husky toned voice ring into her ear as he then stood upright again, both hands in his pockets.

[/style] [atrb=border,0,true] The beach was practically silent, apart from the sea-gulls and the sound of turning pages every so often. The peace and quiet was nice. It wasn't often that she got to be alone like this and, even though she liked the company of others, she liked to have some alone time as well. She had been in town for about two months now and she had gotten a real feel for the town. It was certainly different than her American hometown but, it had a nice homey feel to it. It was cozy and warm despite the three teams all competing against each other in an epic battle to win the most points by the end of the season. Unfortunately, Kim hadn't been able to compete at all so far. It was western season here so far. It was all barrel racing and western pleasure and cutting and reigning as far as the eye could see. But, as soon as English season came around, everyone would see what a competitor that she was. Everyone would know her and she could earn some points for Monster as well as for her team. She had been so caught up in her book and her thoughts about the coming competition season that she didn't even hear James' truck roll up nor did she notice him coming near her. When she felt a hand on he shoulder, the first thing she did before she could even hear her words was jump. She was surprised by James but, she was also glad that it was him and not some crazed axe murderer. Catching her breath from the scare, Kim responded to James' question. Yeah, It's me. She smiled with a hand over her heart, trying to get it to stop beating so fast. She closed her book before she continued speaking to the handsome man standing above her. Why don't you have a seatSTAFF POSITIONS The sand was a little cold but, it was nothing too bad. She wondered what James was doing all the way out here. Well, he wasn't really all the way out here. But, the beach was an odd place to go when one was all dressed up like James was. His dress up shirt and cowboy boots made him look like he was going to church or something. His unbuttoned top was distracting for sure but, she tried to keep her eyes on his face instead of his body.
