Fingers drummed on the steering wheel as a young female drove into the Victoria. She decided that she wanted to spend the mild sunny day at the bay, probably stroll around find something to do and maybe end up at the mall for lunch and a few new outfits. She sighed as she turned the music up enjoying the breeze that surfaced from her window being open. A joyful smile played on her lips as she sung along to Taylor Swifts Red as it played over the radio. She could do this all day, be in her car driving down the roads and singing along to the radio.
Just as the song was ending she was almost to the bay. She turned down the radio and hummed a tune to herself. When she arrived at the bay she found a parking spot and pulled in and shifted the gears to park. She leaned back for a moment before grabbing her shoulder bag and getting out of her SUV. Her thumb hit the lock button before she pocketed her keys and tossed her bag around her head so it hung diagonally across her body. She adjusted her Ray-Bans before she began to head across the park smiling as the sun hit her exposed parts of her body. She fingered with the hem of her gray hoodiee and the belt loop of her jeans as she began to walk her flip-flops hitting the heel of her foot.

In the sea and the sun and the sand ...
Life had a habit of throwing curve balls, and he had been pushed with his nose to the facts in that regard with the ongoing quarantine of his horses. Yes, they were coming out of Africa, and he knew that that was iffy at best. But his own vet had declared the horses healthy and given them a clean bill of health, the vet here had several vials of blood per horse to test, and still there was no news whatsoever. They weren't denied, they weren't send back, they weren't welcome yet. He'd been by the office at least half a dozen times already, and that was ignoring the times he had called and e-mailed them.
Intending to run off some of the tension and frustration, he'd driven out to the town, eager to get off school grounds for a bit. He'd changed in his dorm room, grabbed his blades and left for the nearest beach that was worth that name, letting the navigation on his smartphone guide him to the nearest parking lot of said beach. Apparently, it'd been some place called Tribune Bay. He'd changed his legs in the car before letting JJ out of the car - but still on the leash. Until he had seen for himself how busy it was at the bay, he wouldn't let Jay run free. While he trusted the dog with his life, he'd rather not risk him getting any weird ideas and acting on them.
And so he jogged onto the sand, aware of the looks from the few other people there. Granted, mid-morning wasn't the best time if you were looking for a crowd, but then again, that was part of the reason why he had ditched a class and came here.
He grudgingly took a moment to do some stretches and warm up a little - getting injured now would really make his day, not to mention hamper his future, but that didn't mean he liked the warming up right now. As soon as he felt sufficiently prepared, he took off in a swift jog, setting a pace that would be murderous if he kept it up a long time, but a brisk start would be good to get his blood running and his frustrations at least partway away.
A good twenty minutes later he slowed down to a walk, panting almost as hard as JJ next to him, before bending down to unclip the leash. With the run they had had, he figured the dog was pretty much out of excess energy, much like himself.
Noah found himself smiling again, his head cleared of worries and frustrations. In fact, when he saw another woman who looked vaguely familiar from school, he couldn't help but duck his head a little, grin (hopefully) endearingly and actually address her. Sort of. "Hello." He noticed how cheery he sounded, surprising himself with it, but then again, long rides with a horse or running tended to do that to him.

Elizabeth took in the cool fall air that was blowing around her, it wasn't uncomfortably cool but just the right crispness that you were not able to get cold when the wind blew. She kicked off her sandles and placed her shoulder bag on top of them as she took out her latest birthday gift. Her parents had sent her a gift from New York with a card that read: Elizabeth. We wanted to see all that was going on in your new life. Here is a gift that can do just that. Love, Mom & Dad When she had opened the package inside held a brand new Nikon SLR camera. Since then she hadn't used it as much as her parents had probably wanted her to. This morning though she had a feeling that she just needed to take the camera. So as she played around with the settings getting pictures of the sunrise, the water, of a dog and a gentleman running on the beach from far away. She looked at that one and zoomed in and realized that she recognized the man. Hoping he hadn't seen that she had taken a photo she took a few of the beach grass and of her toes in the sand. When she figured she had a few good shots she began to put the camera away. More time had passed than she thought had and when she looked up hearing panting she saw that the man and his dog had came back down here. She quickly ducked her head and picked up her stuff. She heard his vocals and cringed glad that her back was to him. She straightened her face out before she turned around and plastered a smile on her face "Hello" she echoed him.
