James Knight
[/s] .A horse is only as strong as its Rider. Early morning air, cool and damp as the six foot twenty year old began to walk the stables. Jeans and a white muscle shirt was this man's attire for now, his riding boots planted perfectly on his feet. Brown, cow licked locks got swept through by the morning breeze as he stepped foot at the far end of the stable hall, stalls all around him. Primo would be arriving in a few moments and James needed to seek out Primo's stall. Strolling along quietly, only few horses in the barn at the moment, although an older mare stuck her head out her stall window, her coat a lovely blue roan. Not being able to resist James strolled over to stroke the mares nose, she was tiny compared to the 17.1 hand high Hanoverian that was on his way. The mare nudged his shoulder in a thank you sort of manner and James then continued down the hall.
Finally reaching Primo's stall he then slid open the door and looked inside, it was already made up for him. James smirked and leaned against the open door way of the stall, wishing his stallion was here already. At the sound of a crunching equine James glanced around and sure enough another horse was in its stall, diagonally across from Primo's stall. James slowly made his way over. Emerald eyes gazed upon the equine. A quarter horse, white in color. The horses mane and tail groomed quite well. The equine brought up its head to look at James, not showing much interest though. At the vibration in his pocket, James quickly moved away from the stall and went back to Primo's. It was a phone call, Answering quickly "HelloSTAFF POSITIONS ... OH your almost hereSTAFF POSITIONS Great I will meet you outside the stables" With that he hung up and headed outside to meet his father.
Once he managed to get out of the stables, without stopping at any more horses a large black dodge pulled up next to the stables, pulling a normal two horse trailer. They had a larger one but where it was only Primo and his things they didn't need to pull the large one all the way here. Robert Knight cut the engine from the truck and stepped out, handing James a green halter and Primo's more fancier lead, the chain jingling lightly. Robert cleared his throat and gestured to the trailer "That horse don't like me to well, you can get him out son" Chuckling, James walked to the back of the trailer and dropped the door, a large ebony Hanoverian snaked his head around to gaze upon James and a happy whinny escaped the stallion's throat. James smiled and climbed inside with the beast, slipping on the halter and lead before backing him out slowly. James then stopped next to the trailer, letting the stallion look around and get to see the place. James gave the stallion a carrot from his pocket, the stallion quickly snatched up the carrot and munched on it quietly. Primo let out a small grunt of satisfaction and wasn't giving to much of a fuss over the new place.

YOU CAN BE MY { mom, it's alright. i'm doing fine. money is just a bit tight right now...} her voice was quiet within her room as she sat on her bed, lowering her torso to the bed at make her parrellel with the cushioned creation. a sigh escaped her lungs as she continued to listen to her mother panic about money. this was something that ivy tried desperatly to ignore, but she could still hear the nagging. { i don't need you're money... i'm just living a little tight right now. roo isn't feeling great so he just needs a little extra grains... means that i can't go out and buy clothes. } something must have triggered her mom's frustration because the conversation ended very quickly after that. ivy said her goodbyes, said she loved her, but the conversation was cut short with plenty of tension through the phone lines. shaking her skull, ivy stood from her bed and started to get ready for the day. rosie, the large german shepard roamed the house carelessly, before bedding down next to ivy's feet as she tamed her hair and worked on makeup. ivy grabbed the ebony soft shell jacket that had the ariat logo on the side and grabbed the winter blanket from the couch that she wanted to bring down for roo to eventually wear. rosie remained close to her heels, scotting out form the door and padding toward the car. ivy was thankful that an old family friend was more than happy to let her stay there until she could make a comfortable living on her own. she walked up to the old honda civic and threw the blanket in the passenger seat, the dog in the back and was on her way to the barn. as the car pulled into the barn drive way, ivy finished the last of the breakfast sandwich she picked up from tim hortons and turned the car off. she grabbed the blanket and let the dog out, before going to the trunk and seeing the two large bags of feed. { great... } she said quietly as the mumbled and cursed herself for loving roo more than she loved herself. she decided that it would have been safer to take two trips, so she closed the trunk of her car and worked her way to the barn with the winter blanket and new feed bucket. roo was more than happy to see the familar face of his master, a low wicker had escaped his vocals, but then returned to eating. ivy dropped the blanket and checked brute quickly. he was a bit damp, almost as if he had a bit of a fever because he was very lightly shivering. { what am i going to do with youSTAFF POSITIONS } she said quietly as she gave the gelding a quick scratch before going to grab the feed. the cold breeze tangled with her blonde tassels that were nicely folded into a running braid that dangled off one shoulder. light side bangs shifted in the breeze faintly and she wore her well broke in cowboy boots and a pair of dirty, ripped horse jeans. there was lots of slobber, dirt and hay on them that stained, but it's what made them unique and good for the horses. she wore a fairly large belt buckle that was won back when she was staying at home for a reining competition. she rode a little palomino through and it was her best run she's ever had - and it rewarded her well. she usually wore the buckle when she was thinking of home, becoming home sick or just doubting herself. it had 'ivy brandt' ingraved on it, as well as '2008' and 'thompson reining competition'. she shifted her shirt down lightly as she felt herself bragging almost and hid the buckle. it was somehting she was proud of but was nervous that she would be bragging about it. ivy opened the trunk of her car and glanced to behind her as the sound of a truck and trailer pulled up. she assumed that it had a horse inside, but she wasn't certain. then a young man that she didn't see much around the barn walked out and into the trailer. she was rather distracted with the look of the male, he seemed interesting, different, unique, and just plainly hot. she couldn't hide the feelings. quickly, she tossed her emotions to the side and grabbed a bag of feed. she disapeared into the barn, dropped the feed off in the feed room and worked her way back to the car for the other bag. however, as she entered the cold air once more, there stood a ebony black - huge horse. ivy guessed he was a stallion, with the build and masculinity that glowed off him. he seemed expensive. more expensive than what she was use too. { he sure is a looker, ain't he. } ivy said as she walked up to the new pair. her blue eyes were thankfully hidden behind sunglasses as she looked toward the stallion. of course - to everyone she was talking about the horse, but she wasn't at all a fan of the horse that much. the feeling of whore entered her body, and quickly she dropped the emotions toward the man, and focused more on the horse. picking apart small conformation problems, and awaiting some type of reply. rosie trotted out of the barn and eagerly pranced up to the man and the horse. ivy cleared hr throat very quietly and the dog backed off and sat at ivy's side. [/s] .A horse is only as strong as its Rider. Primo hadn't shown to much fuss so James began to walk him around the truck, until another car pulled into the drive, Primo snorted and tossed his head. Patting the stallions arched neck and glanced over his shoulder and the girl that stepped out just about took the breath from James' chest. Robert, seeing his sons reaction grinned and rolled his eyes, starting to unload Primos things and taking them into the barn, setting them by the Hanoverian's stall. James then turned as another voice called out over the noise his father was making in the trailer. "He sure is a looker ain't he" James couldn't keep the grin off his face when the little blonde showed up in front of him and Primo. The stallion stood tall and shook out his mane. James smirked and nudged primo with his elbow "Yeah, he is quite the horse ... I'm James ... James Knight uh ... you areSTAFF POSITIONS " Hoping he hadn't moved to fast through the conversation he then turned to look at his large stallion that was now resting his head on James' shoulder.
Smirking, James reached up with his free hand and scratched the stallions nose gently. James then glanced over his shoulder at his father who was unloading the last of Primo's things. James then looked back at the girl and gave her a rather dashing smile before he turned to face the stable "I think I'm going to show Primo the stables ... Care to join meSTAFF POSITIONS " With that James slowly started off toward the barn, Primo's ears perked forward and nostrils flaring. Running a hand through his hair as he then reached the stall, the door open just like he had left it. Leading the large beast into the stall, removing the lead rope and he quickly exited the stall and closed the door behind him, locking it as well. James then took the heavy winter blanket and the light summer blanket to the tack room, along with his brushes and extra little things. James reached the stall once again and quickly brushed Primo down with a soft brush and then began to tack him up in the stall, knowing he wouldn't move. Once fully tacked James left the stall, closing it behind him to get his helmet from the hook on the outside of the stall. Looking to the blonde once again "If you wish you could join me and my trusty steed on a small jaunt around the grounds He then opened the stall door and grasped the english reins, leading Primo out into the main hall.

I'll spread my wings And learn how to fly [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: B8B8B8; border: #550505 solid 4px; width: 400px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] Kimberly pulled into the driveway of her new barn. Her black pick-up truck pulled behind it her horse, Monster. She hadn't named him that because of his personality, it was given to him because of his size. The 16.8 hand horse did look quite intimidating in size, even though his personality was more like a teddy bear.
She observed that there was already a trailor there and several people standing around. There was a guy, an attractive guy, a black horse who looked like a stallion, a blonde girl and an older gentleman. Oh lord, help me. She wasn't concerned about the people there, she was a bit concerned with the stallion. Monster was used to being around other stallions, being from a breeding farm but, she wasn't so sure how the black stallion was going to react to her Monster. Well, Kimberly took a deep breath and pulled her trailor up next to the other one. She didn't want to seem unfriendly or anti-social by parkingfather away. She was far enough away to fit a horse through the gap but, not enough for two horses. She cut the engine on her mother's black truck. She had let her borrow it for today and was coming to pick it up later. She had a meeting today with another breeder about a mare so, she couldn't accompany the 19 year old today. Part of her wished that her parents were here to say goodbye to her and make sure that she had everything that she needed but, she guessed that this was how being an adult felt.
She heard conversation going on outside but, it was muffled. She hopped down from the truck and walked around to let her stallion out. She opened the door and walked in next to her beast of a stallion. She slipped his halter on over his head and clipped his lead rope to. They were nothing fancy but, they did the job just fine. She asked Monster to back out of the trailor and he did so.
As soon as he was out, the 5 foot 5 inch female walked her 16.8 hand horse hround to the front of the truck. Monster looked interested in his new surroundings. His head was held high and his ears were pricked forward. He always got so excited whenever they went new places.
When Monster saw the other stallion, he whinnied, very loudly to him. It made Kim smile a little and pat his neck. It was a good thing that at least he wasn't trying to fight the other stallion. The black horse looked very expensive. Monster wouldn't have been a cheap horse either if she decided to sell him but, the black horse looked more expensive than her steed.
Now being able to hear what was being said, she heard that the attractive male was flirting with the blonde girl. Kimberly didn't want to awkwardly butt in and start in their conversation. So, she just smiled and waved at them as she began leading Monster to his new stall to get him settled in. Monster looked back as he was being led away, obviously wanting to stay and socialize. She patted the stallion's neck. It's alight boy, you'll get to say hi to them later. She continued on into the barn.
It took a little bit before she found her stallion's stall but, once she did she was pleased to see that it was quite spacious for her large horse. She led him inside the already prepared stall and the shut the door. Monster immedietly stuck his head out of the stall and began looking around. The five year old was very cute. She leaned up against the side of the "window" where Monster was sticking his head out and began to stroke his neck

YOU CAN BE MY she felt his eyes on her, and the butterflies fluttered eagerly in her stomach, but she kept her cool. a small smile tugged at her features lightly as she heard his voice. "Yeah, he is quite the horse ... I'm James ... James Knight uh ... you areSTAFF POSITIONS " there was a bit of second thought in what he had said, maybe because he was nervous about starting a true conversation, but ivy ignored the thought. { i'm ivy brandt, pleasure to meet you james. } she said lightly as she whiped her hand off on her pants and offered her hand. the male then began to talk "I think I'm going to show Primo the stables ... Care to join meSTAFF POSITIONS " at first she wanted to jump on the invitation, she remember she had to bring the other bag of feed into the barn from her car. the smile faded slightly, but it perked back up once she figured out what she was going to do. { i'd love to, i just have to bring a bag of feed into the barn, i'll be there shortly. } she smiled lightly and looked toward her car and gave a final nod. she started walking toward the car when another horse trailer pulled up. the bag of feed weighed her arms down slightly as she struggled to close the trunk door of her car and not drop the bag of feed. the female that slipped form the pick up truck smiled and waved in the direction of ivy and with the free arm from closing the trunk, she returned the wave. her mind was completely off the male she had just met, but she knew she had to go in there shortly one more and face the butterflies once more. the petite female wasn't sure if she should walk of to thee trailer, because she knew she had plans, and she wasn't sure what to say. she wasn't the owner, and in fact she had only been in hollow aspen for the past month. instead she entered the barn with her bag of feed and dropped the feed in the tack room on the pile of the rest of her grains. she shook her head lightly as she dusted off her hands and took a deep breath. it was heavier than she thought. "If you wish you could join me and my trusty steed on a small jaunt around the grounds" his voice spooked her a little, but she tried not to show it. she turn to face the tall male and the smile tugged at her features. it was something that she couldn't help. he had such a happy, innocent, positive energy that she was like addicted to his personality already. she wasn't looking at his looks, or his horse - but her over company was one that she thrived for. it's been so long since she had such a positive influence in her life, now he was just addicted and contagious. { i'd love to, let me just grab my boy. } she said with a small giggle as she saw roo's head outside of his stall, a small whicker escaped his vocals and ivy smiled toward her brute. she began walking to his stall, stopping to grab his halter then entered the stall, leaving the door wide open. she threw the twelve foot lead line over his back and quickly tied the rope halter. she brought the gelding out of the stall and grabbed the tail of the lead rope, tieing it around the loops of his halter to make a set of reins. she guided him by her quick reins and the female was in sight again. { is everything alright, need any help with anythingSTAFF POSITIONS } thee female asked lightly as she approached the female leaning against her barn door. ivy held a warm welcoming smile as she lead roo up to the girl, and awaited her response - maybe she would have liked to come on the 'jaunt' with james and her. however it wouldn't surprise ivy if she didn't - wanting to give her hrose time to settle and everything. she just wanted to make sure everything was alright.
