Donna had gotten up at the crack of dawn that summer morninng. She wanted to go on a nice trail ride with Zero before it started to get hot out. She had decided to tack up in a nice all-purpose Western saddle, with a matching breast plate, a red saddle rug, beautiful leather bridle decorated with crystals, and four red polo boots. Zero had been easy to tack up that mornninng and so Don was in a good mood as they trotted along the back roads.
Donna had decided to head out on the back roads because she heard that the paths were surronded by trees, meaning that when the sun was scorching down on the pair of them, she and Zero wouldn't be so hot. Zero was her 5 year-old leopard appaloosa mare that she had bred. She had big plans for this mare. Zero had the ability to go big into halter, trail, and both Western and English on the flat. She is a stunning, smooth mover. She also has the personality for trail, and beauty for halter.
She sighed as the pair had jogged down the gravel path. Donna couldv'e smelled the pine needles and the fresh air. Along with that she couldv'e felt the heat from the sun just comming up over the hills in the distantance, as a beautiful song bird whistled his song. Donna had reached down and scratched Zero on the neck before asking her mare for a graceful canter. The mare picked it up instantly and the two of them looked as graceful as a fairy as they cantered down the gravel road.

YOU CAN BE MY ivy had gone out of her way to wake up early, not no eight o'clock or seven o'clock - but four thirty. she wanted to get the barn early and make sure that roo had settled in alright. he didn't take moves at all well, and she could only imagine the stress and anxiety the gelding had whelmed up within. she sighed at the thought. quickly, she got dressed for the early morning, throwing on a light blouse over her tank top. the blue, black and white plaid enhanced the light blonde hair that she wore in a french braid. she threw on very little make up - not caring of who would see her. like honestly, who else was idiotic enough to wake up at such a disgusting hour STAFF POSITIONS ivy quickly grabbed her bag, and looked at the german shepard who was lazily spread out over the floor of her dorm. { looks like you're not coming this morning... } she whispered lightly. the canine lifted her tiara, but with a thunk, hit the ground again and fell back asleep. shaking her head lightly, ivy dashed down the stair and out the parking lot. she drove a small, cheap little car that was fuel efficiant and not for looked. it was simply a white chevy cobolt in the year of 2003. fancy ain't it STAFF POSITIONS on the way to the barn, ivy stopped in at tim hortons, grabbed some timbits and a tea and she was quickly scarfing them down as she pulled into the driveway of the stables. she wasn't use to the heavy traffic on the lower mainland, it was much different from where she came from just four hours from here. she sighed quietly as the thought of home entered her mind, guilt whelming in her stomach as the headlights of her car revealed the large fancy barn. she threw another donut into her mouth and thought of how awkward she felt here. everything was big and expensive, traffic was suicidal, compeition was still - and here she was with a little appendix gelding that was, and still at times - is scared of his shadow. shaking her head, she reminded herself that she deserved to be here, just like everyone else and got out of the car. the cold nipped at her skin lightly as she walked quickly into the barn. few lights were on, not another human soul to be found. many horses were still sleeping in the early hours, but still some came to their door to greet her. there were many very expensive looking warmblood, pure bred quarter horses. the quarter horses made her feel a little more settle, knowning that a part of her home wasn't quite gone. there was a few arabs, but not many mutts. for all she knew, she was the only one having an appendix gelding that did everything. only some things really well, but he could do it all. and with that thought, she smiled. not many people can say that their champion barrel racer can jump 3'4, or that dressage horse can work cattle. she giggled lightly and went searching for roo. he was pretty easy to find. his dark hunter green stable blanket was crooked, mostly covered in shavings and he was also the only horse with a rope halter on his stall. everyone else had the big leather halters, and he just had ropes. his dark body instantly lifted as ivy's face came to view. a small whicker escaped his velvet kissers and eagerly, he walked up to the bars. putting a few fingers through the bars, ivy tickled his nose that carried on. she grabbed his halter, slid open the stall door, got her gelding and went toward the cross ties. since no one else was in the barn, she just dropped the rope outside of the tack room, told roo to stand and she found all her western tack and brushes. after a thorough brush she began tacking. she had to admitt, she had nice western tack - winning the saddlle from a reining competition, and just coming form a western riding family, she got some nice stuff, unlike the english. her western tack was new, the professional billy cook reining saddle had some silver, but not a lot. no where to make it tacky like some other saddle out there. she didn't ride with a breastplate, and under the saddle was a simply diamond wool saddle pad. it was brown, black and white. it had the navajo look, but it was all wool, better fitting and more comfortable for the horse. it had a simple, yet neat design and it was a bit dirty from use. she threw on roo's one ear peice headstall that had a simple shank on it. it also had very limited silver, on silver conches and the shank - the rest of it was a rich buffalo hide leather. shoving a cowboy boot into the stirrup, she quickly hopped on and was off. a human was yet to be seen at five o'clock in the morning. she closed up the barn again and dimmed some of the lights to allow the horses more sleep. roo, on the other hand was more than happy to go. sleep to him wasn't an option, he was glad to get out and sight see. his body within ten feet of the barn was filled with an emotional sweat. he was slightly worked up. the hell of her cowboy boot pushed against his sides and he kicked up the pace to a trot. she kept pushing, and eventually made their way onto a trail. they kept trotting. ivy knew that the long trot would help release anxious everny form his body and it would help him relax more and make the move much easier on him. her reins were loose and they were covering ground quickly. she was simply passengering, helping roo keep his trot, and eventually he bagan to extend his trot to a smooth rythem. a smile tugged at ivy's features as butterflies grew in her stomach. roo was always making her feel good. hours past and roo had finally relaxed, took a deep breath and slowed his pace. he was finally comfortable and was ready to think. but ivy wasn't going to push it. they had just spent two hours trotting laps and different trails, trying to help her horse relax. now that he did, she had to work on cooling him off. his body was dripping with sweat, his entire body but he was relaxed, and he could take the long distance running. it was almost like he had arab in him, endurance came easy. ivy brought roo down to a walk, petting him quietly, then straightened up. as the began their journey back toward the barn, which would be atleast another hour, the sound of another horse was inn hearing distance. the sound of horse shoes on rocks gave away that the rider was cantering, and quickly ivy sidepassed roo off to the side, making sure there was plenty of room. she was looking forward to company. she hasn't met anyone else. ONE TWO ZERO FOUR DONNA MEYERS HOPE YOU DON'T MIND THE COMPANY :D
