[/s] .A horse is only as strong as its Rider. I could live without money I could live without the vain. Crashing of hooves against a hard steel echoed through out the grounds and James held onto the black halter and the thick black lead rope. Breathing slightly heavier than normal he then stepped closer to the trailer the family friend, Garret McGuell stood next to the trailer door, unlatching it, and dropping it to the ground. Dark Dapple gray stallion thrashed against the trailer walls. With a speedy entrance James slid in next to the stallion. Pinned ears and flaring nostrils was the expression of the large stallion, known quite well as Venom. Giving the stallion a light pat to the shoulder, James swiftly threw the halter on the stallions head, although with a major fight. The lead rope had already beet hooked to the halter. James tried to back the stallion out slowly but Venom had other plans, swiftly exiting the trailer and then he reared up, aiming for Garret. Standing infront of the family friend, holding his arms up high and yelling woah, that stallion soon gave in and stood normally, although breathing heavily and ears still pinned in an aggressive state. The only thing Venom came with was both thick and thin winter and summer blankets and a lunge line. While the stallion was distracted Garret took the blankets into the tack room and James took the lunge line. Attempting to try and lead the stallion to the round pen wasn't at difficult as James thought, Venom pranced and whinnied, pulling alittle here and there, but no rearing.
Entering the round pen, James removed the lead line and lets the large brute explore the small space. With an unsatisfied grunt the stallion started to pace at the back of the pen. James Studied the stallion for a moment, Trying to figure out what made him so aggressive. Although .. Without Garret around the stallion was far less aggressive. Garret was known for his race horses and this guy was supposed to be of great lines. Before Race training apparently the stallion was hardly a problem, although being a stallion they had a small temper here and there.

Taylor had been grooming her horse in his stall, since she wasn’t exactly the kind to just leave her horses in their stalls for days without being groomed, at the very least she would only clean the hooves. It wasn’t sanitary and could cause many things to happen to the foot, which would leave her without a horse to ride, especially since she was just starting to ride him again after a terrible accident a couple years prior. She could hear what sounded likes hooves against a trailer, though she didn’t go out right away, not wanting to scare or harm the horse in anyway. She took a deep breath, just looking around as she exited the stall, making sure it was closed before taking her grooming kit back into the tack room.
She headed to the outside of the barn, stopping as she saw a horse in the round pen. The horse was gorgeous, and not to mention well built. She bit her lip ever so slightly, making her way towards the round pen. “That is a gorgeous horse, he is built nicely” she said, watching the horse move around. He seemed nervous and anxious, yet bored all at the same time. She didn’t know this horses past, however, so couldn’t make any distinct observations about the animal. She stayed on the outside of the round pen, knowing it wouldn’t be smart to get in or near the fence, knowing the animal would be able to hurt her if she was near him enough.

[/s] .A horse is only as strong as its Rider. I could live without money I could live without the vain. Deep in thought, James didn't even hear the girl coming. When she spoke James turned to look at her with a soft smile "I know ... He's an amazing animal, however he is extremely aggressive" With a sigh, James shook his head and began to wonder if maybe the problem had been the way the horse was handled. Being the family friend, Garret was never suspected of mistreating his horses but James was slightly convinced it could have been just that. Venom, who had been pacing at the back of the pen, perked his ears at the sound of the soft voice, snaking his head around to look at the two humans.
Cautiously the large, shadowed dapple gray stallion began to walk slowly toward the front of the pen, his eyes locked on the girl. James frowned and then followed the stallions gaze. he was looking at herSTAFF POSITIONS ... James then parted his lips to speak quietly, trying not to startle the brute Miss .. could you come closerSTAFF POSITIONS I .. I think he trusts you With that James gestured to come stand closer to the fence. As Venom neared the gate he snorted and lifted his head over the fence, his gaze still locked on her.

Taylor nodded when the boy had said that the stallion was aggressive. She thought for a moment, looking over the horse, he didn’t seem that bad, right now atleast. Or maybe it was aggression towards males, who knew but the girl certainly wasn’t about to make set in stone decisions about the horse. She noticed how the stallion had turned and started to look at her. His ears perked and he started walking towards them, the girl stayed where she was, not sure if she was okay to go up to the horse or not.
She looked over to the boy as he told her to come closer. She gave a soft smile. ”Yeah, of course.” she said softly and just loud enough for the boy to hear. She took a few steps closer, now nearing the fence, the stallion keeping his gaze locked on her. She bit her lip ever so slightly, watching the stallion curiously, wondering what he would do next.

[/s] .A horse is only as strong as its Rider. I could live without money I could live without the vain. Steady movements were made to keep the stallion at a calm stance. James smiled lightly when the girl had agreed to step forward. As she reached the fence James spoke only loud enough for her and barely the stallion to hear " At any moment If you even think he is going to turn on you.. I want you to turn your back to him, its a sign of submission and a fact that your not going to hurt him James explained carefully as the stallion stretched his neck out to the girl. Venom came closer to the fence, lifting his head over the rail to look at the girl, his nostrils flared as he took in her scent and he then nickered softly, his ears fully perked now and he flicked his tail lightly.
Garret who hadn't left was standing next to the barn. a few paces away, observing the scene. James then glanced over his shoulder and whispered to the girl again " I will be right back I need to talk to the previous owner" James then slowly moved away from the pen and approached Garret. The friend shrugged and gestured toward the girl and Venom I don't understand why he's acting like an angel James frowned and looked at Garret What do you do when training these horses for the trackSTAFF POSITIONS " James was certain it had to have been something to do with the training. Garret paused for a moment and then shrugged Just the usual.. Although some of my staff can get quite rough .. I have had afew buzzer problems as well with a few of my riders, one of them helped try and train Venom As Garret confessed, James could feel his blood boiling. Taking a deep breath and clearing his throat, James gestured toward Garret's truck I never thought you would do that Garret.. Or even let your riders and staff get away with that .. YOU may leave now Garret didn't say no more he only tipped his cowboy hat and stalked off. Venom had snaked his head over the rail and lightly nibbled on the girls shirt, on the side, snorting lightly in enjoyment.

"Okay.." Taylor said quietly as the boy gave her words of advice if the stallion indeed tried to turn on her. Luckily for her, he didn't, he was being a complete sweetheart, she smiled, taking a small step closer, stroking the horse's nose. She still kept her distance, however.
Taylor smiled as the horse had somewhat nibbled on her t-shirt. "No..." she said quietly, the stallion immediately stopped and just enjoying the love and attention that Taylor was giving him, as she was stroking his nose. The horse was an obvious athlete and was a gorgeous horse, she didn't know the name of his owner, but of course, Taylor was the knew girl around her.

Letting himself relax as Venom decided to keep himself at the back he finally had a chance to get to know this mystery girl better. Apparently she was more interesting to Venom than he was. At the girls kind remark James almost wanted to fall to his knee's in thank you's. Letting a soft sigh escape as he calmed himself and nodded "Thank you very much As he then turned to glance at Venom, he noticed that Venom was cautiously trying to bring himself toward the two, although that little voice in the back of the stallions head must have been telling him not to. When she finally stated her name James smiled and shook her hand, releasing it as he let his deep, husky tone ring out over the light patting of Venom's hooves against the dirt "Ahh It is a pleasure to meet you Taylor With that James then looked back to venom who was grasping some gras from underneath the fence.

Taylor watched as the horse trotted off when his owner returned. She knew then that something had happened in the training of the horse, so wasn't offended in any way when Venom trotted off. She turned to look at the boy as he put a hand on her shoulder. She smiled, hearing the offer he had given her. "That would be a good thing for me to do, now wouldn't itSTAFF POSITIONS I'm out here every day, so tell me when you want me to come by and I will" she said with a smile. "Your fine. I'm Taylor, it's nice to meet you James" she said with a soft smile, gently taking his hand and shaking it.

"Your welcome" Taylor said with a soft smile, watching the stallion softly. "You know, he seems like he could be a sweet horse if he got over this nervousness.." she said. She smiled softly, looking back to Venom, seeing him grazing on some of the grass that was underneath the fence. "What was he trained for...racehorseSTAFF POSITIONS " she asked curiously, noting that the stallion had the characteristsics of both a Thoroughbred and a racehorse.

[/s] .A horse is only as strong as its Rider. I could live without money I could live without the vain. Getting his thoughts on track as she mentioned he could be a sweet horse. James didn't doubt that statement at all. The scene that had just played was pure example of how sweet the ignorant brute could be. Nodding his head as he looked to the stallion "I agree with you completely.. He seemed pretty sweet to you a few seconds ago James pointed out the obvious as he then leaned against the pen and tried to think of something to sort of help him trust more. As she spoke again James turned his attention to her, she was talking about his training and boy was she bang on. James sighed "Yes he was a racehorse, he's right off the track and apparently the training over there is quite rough on the horses James tried to keep his blood from boiling over the side of the pot, although it was proving to be difficult for him.

Taylor nodded, looking over to James. She noticed how he was getting angered. "Hey..he's in better hands now, as far as I'm concerned. And if it's help, I've helped retrain some racehorses." she said, shrugging softly. She watched as the stallion took a step closer towards them, still nibbling on the grass underneath the fencing of the pen. She stuck her hands in her pocket. "What are you looking to train him inSTAFF POSITIONS After we get his trust back and allSTAFF POSITIONS " she asked, looking over to James. Her dirty blonde hair was pulled back into a ponytail, her blue eyes were gentle and not hard.
