Riding History: Born and raised in Kentucky to James and Catherine Wolf, owners of the infamous thoroughbred racing operation Wolf Farms, Lucas has spent most of his life around horses. At a young age, he took up riding at his parent’s request, and has been hooked ever since. From show ponies to expensive warmbloods, he’s ridden them all - however his specialty, and indeed his favourite type of horse to compete on, is the off-the-track thoroughbred.
His first OTTB, Oscar, was one of his parents’ retired stakes-winning geldings. Rather than see him live out his life in a field, when the horse was obviously missing a working environment, Luke started the six-year-old thoroughbred as an eventer and never turned back. Since then, he has developed his methods for retraining the racehorse for the english competition arena. Over time, as well, he decided that sharing his experience as a CCI ***** rider with others would be beneficial. As such, he moved to Hollow Aspen when an instructor position became available.
