He was raised to be hardworking and respectful of everyone around him and he still does his best to stick to that. He grew up in a small town in Oklahoma on his family's cattle ranch and never spent much time away from home until now. In many ways he's a little (okay maybe a lot) naïve about the bigger picture in the world around him, which at times can cause awkward situations. He might be easier to take advantage of because of this. It isn't that he doesn't have a backbone, he's more than willing to stick up for himself and others when the need arises, its more that he prefers to see the best in people. He's trusting, open-minded, and is always willing to offer help if he can. At Hollow Aspen a lot of the time he feels quite out of place since even though he's been riding all his life, he has a very limited scope of what he actually knows well. He's a western rider through and through, but had never been to a show before coming to Hollow Aspen. He has competed in working cow horse, cutting and reining competitions, and was a high school rodeo'er so he is familiar with competition, just not the world of a horse show. He is a quick learner though and more than willing to try anything that is offered to him. friends,He's a nice guy who is easy to get along with, so that means he should be easy to make friends with, yes STAFF POSITIONS I can see him having a good few friends, and he's going to need some people who are willing to help him out at Hollow Aspen. He's not exactly "shy" but because he can feel out of place he will stay back until he can figure things out and get comfortable in a situation, so him having some friends to bring him around and get him more social would be great. I'd love for him to make a friend (or friends) that is willing to teach him to ride different disciplines (namely English) and maybe even he could help someone else learn how to ride a cow horse/western too. He could use some friends that help get him in "trouble" (of the good kind of course) and broaden his horizons and experiences. As I said this is the first time he's seriously been away from home so he could use some "fun". enemies,While he is usually easy to get along with, this isn't saying he won't have people that dislike him. This could come on any grounds for me. Maybe someone isn't impressed that a ranch boy got into HA or they have some other reason to dislike him. Lucas isn't always a ball of kindness and love either too. There are certain people that just rub him the wrong way, and while he'll still try to stay cordial with them he won't like them. People that are arrogant, lazy, pretentious or pompous really get under Lucas' skin. He hates being around people that constantly put themselves on a pedestal above those around them. He isn't one to pick fights, but he won't be afraid to defend himself either. He does his best to avoid conflict all together; after all, his grandma always told him "if you ain't got anything nice to say, keep your mouth shut." lovers,This tends to be tricky doesn't it STAFF POSITIONS He is indeed single, and he wouldn't pass up the opportunity for some kind of relationship, but he isn't actively looking for anyone either. To him if it happens and works out, great, but if not then he doesn't care. He isn't here for a love match anyway. I honestly don't like plotting out any kind of "final" relationship because things in RP-land change so much, but I'd be 100% willing to thread characters together and see how well they meshed. Now I'm not against plotting out some kind of romantic relationship because we all know those are fun to play! Two for one. ( XD because I got two characters of course. ) Ariel - Friend; Maybe not close friend or anything, but simply friend. (I take it he is gonna be in cattle event classes STAFF POSITIONS ) Maybe they met through class. He the student (duh) and she the teacher. They can both respect each other's hard work. (I don't know okay STAFF POSITIONS !) Logan - Friend; Both on the same team maybe the met at a team meeting and have grown to become friends through hanging out and training. I don't know again okay. |

Meeting in class works great for me, Lucas will probably be more at ease and himself in a familiar class which would be a good thing for them I'd say. Jessica & Lucas Lucas and Jessie... I am not the best at thinking up plots, so let me know if you think of anything else. Also, sorry I'm posting with Storm's account but it's hard to switch accounts on my iPod :P so anyway back to the plot... These two are on the same team and around the same age, so I could see them running into each other somewhere and hitting it off after a few minutes. They could definitely be good friends because they have similar personalities. I could see them being those really good friends that everyone always wonders if they're dating or not because they're so comfortable around each other and are practically always around each other. This is the first thing that came to mind when I saw Lucas, so let me know what you think :) |

Her personality might be a touch overwhelming for Lucas at first but he'd still be nice/polite to her. Once they got along together better I could see his "steadyness" maybe helping even out her anger/temperamental issues too, (or that just might make her mad at him, lol STAFF POSITIONS ). I think it would be cute if either people just thought they were dating or if there was some kind of crush happening (one sided or whatever) too. oh yes I think that would be really adorable if maybe they had a mutual crush thing going on but they never want to admit it because they are afraid of ruining the relationship. And because of the great friendship and crush, people are always thinking they're together and teasing they about it and stuff. Also I think she could use him to help her even out her temper and she most likely wouldn't get mad at him for wanting to help her. |

IVY & LUCAS
so, ivy is a 23 year old cowgirl out of kamloops, bc. she grew up on a ranch, shown horses in all disciplines for her mom and basically been there done that kind of girl. she doesn't really believe she can fit into hollow aspens because she's not really competitive, and more laid back and just a backwoods addict. lol. she rides an appendix - roo that she does everything with... but he has his own problems. he doesn't mind showing in front of a small group of people, but he can get a bit anxious in the ring with more horses, or with men in the ring... maybe there could be some help in there since their on the same team. ivy believes that roo has lots of potential because when their alone, he works perfectly flawless. so maybe they could be good friends, i was thinking maybe the brother/sister type relationshipSTAFF POSITIONS add/subtract.

Dude! I totally think Melissa and Lucas could be like really good friends! Very close to best friends I might add. Melissa is a friendly gal who couldn't turn down a conversation with someone who is genuinely nice and someone who could keep her interested in them for more than a few seconds(happens almost all the time). She's a total country girl even though she rides English.
Melissa would be there to support and watch Lucas in his competitions as well as help him with his practicing. Helpful friends all the way!!! |

Noah's pretty new to the school, and not such an outgoing person by nature, but he likes to be around people and is quite easy-going. They're on opposing teams, but Noah isn't much concerned about what people think of him or about teams - beyond competitions, that is. They strike me as the type of person that'd just hit it off. Little awkwardness, lots of fun. Noah'll be curious about western riding, as he's never done it before; a few times in a bastardized stock saddle, but that's it. Could do something fun with that ^^ What also may be fun is that Noah comes from abroad (Namibia, Africa) and while he may not be a cynic old fool, he's not naive either. They may 'clash' in friendly ways over that, perhaps STAFF POSITIONS Noah'll be all interested in all-American life, but figure it's rude to just ask all about it. He does have manners xD
