So. Hello.

My name is legitimately Riley. I live in a small city on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. On the west - or "wet" - coast. I am 5'5 and a bit, green eyes, brown hair that WAS 17 inches longer than it is now, 160lbs (chunky), and I turn 19 on August 27th.


I own two registered QHs.

Zippos Romantic Rose aka "Lily" - who I have owned for 8 years as of July 6th. A midget at a whopping 14.3hh. She turned 11 on March 16th. She is my baby. I love her more than almost - almost - everything else in the whole world. We've been through a lot together; we won Canadian National Champion Hunt Seat Eq at QH Nationals in 2007, and that year we were FIRST in British Columbia and SECOND in all of Canada in our age division. She's semi-retired, and is my hop-on-and-ride-for-fun mare. We also give beginner lessons.


I lost a mare in the winter of 2009 to a shattered pastern. I watched it happen and heard it break. She was my new show horse after Lily was retired. It traumatized me and I didn't want to ride forever... Then about 8 months ago I started working for a woman in town who breeds QHs. I found I actually wanted to ride again. It was awesome. So I found this guy:


Ragtime Mr Good Bar aka "Foster." 16.0hh. I did not have a job but was offered a deal on him - I'd known him for 3 years and been riding him for 3 months, and was 'in love with him.' He was my 'saviour' and had brought me back from not wanting to ride. So naturally I scrambled to find a job (I actually have 2) and am making monthly payments on him. Kind of skrimping by but it could be worse. He's actually a total asshole, or at least he was. He's gotten a lot better. He hadn't been off the property he was born on until I bought him, so he's been experiencing a LOT of new things. He also bites, would only lead with a chain, and is terribly pushy. He doesn't bite anymore, I only put on a chain for "new experiences," and he moves away if I point at him and cluck. He still has a lot to learn - fly spray is scary, but has become tolerable - he'll stand to be bathed now, when before he'd do ballet moves to avoid water - he is terrified of the clippers, period - he stands in the trailer and eats hay... He's pretty good under saddle but mentally he is 2, when he is actually 5 years old (as of May.) So we have a lot to do. He's not fancy enough to show QH but is going to make a KICKASS hunter. I may flip him and ask $10,000 for him in a few years. Depends on what boyfriend is doing.


I have the most amazing boyfriend ever. <--- So does any girl who has a boyfriend. But really, he is so fabulous. We've been together 3 years as of March 16th. Chris... Is literally my everything. I am going to marry that boy. He is moving off of Vancouver Island in September to go BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology) to become a Land Surveyor. He'll be gone for 2 years... But I am going to have his car while he's gone (it's seriously pimpin' LMAO) and he is coming home every 2 weeks to see his family and me. Plus his mom wants me to hang out when he's gone because she will be lonely without him, even though his dad will still be there... Teen presence, I guess. Only 'big problem' is that we don't have like... Any photos of us. We just don't take pics often. We'll get on it. I want to start documenting us anyway.


I have two cats! When my mare (Phoebe) died, my mom bought me a cat (I'd been begging since my last kitty died when I was 10) and I named her Holly, as I got her December 17th (two days after my mare was euthanized) and wanted to give her a Christmas name that wasn't too stupid like "Christmas" or "Rudolph" LOL. The next summer we went visiting on the mainland and we kept seeing tuxedo kitties and my mom was like, "I WANT ONE." When we came home we looked at the SPCA and found a black and white female who wasn't tuxedo but was adorable nonetheless. Mom named her Crickett and she was supposed to be her cat... But she ended up loving me best. Holly is a mute calico and looks grey, and Crickett is black and white.


I play Roller Derby. I have Xbox Live and 40+ games.... Ri Ri Terrify is my gamertag. I love Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Mortal Instruments, Infernal Devices, and many other books (I read way too much)... Game of Thrones... House... STUDIO GHIBLI... POKEMON LIKE OMG. There's more, just can't think of it. Tired.
